Closing in on Antigua

After 1 month, 2 days and 14 hours at sea, the team continues to push relentlessly west, riding the fine line between endurance and determination as they close in on Antigua.

The past few days have tested every limit. Squally winds of up to 30 knots and heavy seas forced the boat off course, bringing sleepless nights, soaked kit, and relentless conditions on deck. Progress slowed at times, but spirits never did. Through exhaustion, aching bodies, and raw hands, the team adapted -fixing damaged equipment, managing water production, and making the most of every mile gained.

One of the biggest turning points came when speed was restored and momentum returned. With cleaner lines through the water after a good hull clean allowing for steady progress, the miles began to tick down again — a powerful psychological boost after days of fighting the elements.

Now firmly in the 700s to go, Antigua feels closer with every stroke. The ocean remains in control, but with improving forecasts and renewed pace, the team is back in rhythm - focused, resilient, and determined to see this journey through.

Every mile is earned. Every sunrise feels like a privilege. And the finish line is no longer a distant idea - it’s coming into view!
